Atletico and Borussia Dortmund set up exciting return leg with everything still up for grabs

Atletico Madrid dominated the first half with goals from De Paul and Lino, putting them in a comfortable position. Antoine Griezmann played a crucial role with his pressure and vision, nearly adding a third goal before halftime.

Despite Atletico’s control, Borussia Dortmund had a late resurgence, with Haller scoring to give them a lifeline. Dortmund came close to equalizing in the final minutes, hitting the crossbar and the post, setting up an exciting second leg in Germany.
