Delhi Toofans pull off stunning victory against Ahmedabad Defenders in PVL Season 3 final league match

Chennai, March 11 (IANS) Delhi Toofans secured a spectacular win against Ahmedabad Defenders in the Prime Volleyball League. The Toofans claimed victory with a score of 15-11, 16-14, 15-12, finishing in second place in the league stage at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai.

The match began with Santhosh leading the attack for Delhi, countered by Angamuthu from Ahmedabad. Rohit Kumar’s crucial block on Nandha gave Delhi the edge. Despite Max Senica’s strong performance, Toofans maintained the lead. Angamuthu’s powerful spikes kept Ahmedabad in the game, but service errors dented their momentum.

Ahmedabad capitalized on Delhi’s miscommunications to stay in contention. Lazar Dodic and Rohit Kumar spearheaded Delhi’s offense, ensuring control. Amal’s stellar serves further troubled Ahmedabad’s defense. Despite Shon T’s contributions, Muthu’s errors and net touches cost Ahmedabad the match.

Ayush sealed the victory for Delhi with a decisive spike, securing their spot in the Super 5s with a second-place finish. Delhi Toofans displayed a dominant performance, outplaying Ahmedabad Defenders in a thrilling encounter.
