Family suspects ‘contract’ killing after BJP worker hacked to death in Karnataka
A BJP worker named Girish Chakra was brutally hacked to death in Karnataka’s Kalaburagi district, sparking suspicions of a contract killing by his family. Girish, a close aide of BJP MP Dr. Umesh Jadhav, was killed at a felicitation party in Saganura village.
The incident took place late Thursday night when the assailants invited Girish to a farm for the celebration, only to throw chili powder in his eyes before brutally murdering him. The police suspect the involvement of a gang in the heinous act and have initiated a search for the culprits.
As per Sadashiva Chakra, the victim’s brother, “The murder occurred due to the inability to tolerate Girish’s progress in politics. Some of our community leaders are involved. Enemies must have hired contract killers to eliminate him.” He also vowed to cooperate with the police and reveal the names of those behind the contract killing.
Gangapura police have registered a case in connection with the murder and are actively working to apprehend the accused. The family of Girish Chakra is devastated by the shocking turn of events and is seeking justice for their loved one. The motive behind the ruthless killing remains a subject of investigation.
