MCU is gonna be busy this year, as they are announcing their new project left-right and center. Plus, choosing and casting an actor that perfectly suits the iconic comic roles in itself is quite a task. Projects like Captain America 4 and Deadpool 3 are already in development along with unconfirmed movies like The Mutants and a few series with Disney+. The comic giant is showing no sign of delivering back-to-back action-packed content.
The MCU is planning to introduce a new set of villains far more dangerous like ‘Namor’ appearing in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and ‘Gorr’ the God Butcher is confirmed for Thor: Love and Thunder.
Jim Carrey as Modok?
MCU has a supervillain that might appear in a future project. MODOK (Mental Organism Designed Only For Killing). Originally a scientist named George Tarleton worked for AIM (Advanced Idea Mechanics), a scientifically-advanced weapons-dealing organization. However, experimentation warped the man MODOK once was into a killing machine.
Plenty of names are in talks about who is going to portray the earth’s mightiest supervillain. Jim Carrey is rumored to be the first choice for the role of MODOK. Jim Carrey has already played a supervillain’s role in the past. In 1990 he portrayed the role of riddler in Batman Forever, along with ‘Dr. Robotinik’ in Sonic the Hedgehog.
Jim Carrey is known to the world as one of the greatest comedy actors in the modern era with many hits like Dumb and Dumber, and ‘The Mask’ since the 90s. As mentioned above he also has a quick encounter with batman while playing Riddler in 1995’sw Batman Forever.
For the past few years, he showed he can portray a better strong role than just the comedy genre. He played Doctor Robotnik in 2020’s Sonic the Hedgehog. Judging by the work in has done in past along with coming so far ahead it will be safe to say that he would be a perfect fit in Marvel Cinematic Universe.
