Mahavir Jayanti 2022: Best Wishes, Quotes, Messages, Greetings, Images To Share To Your Loved Ones
The birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism, is being celebrated on April 14, this year. According to the Hindu calendar, Mahavir Jayanti is celebrated every year on the Trayodashi of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. In Jainism, Tirthankaras refer to 24 divine great men who attained enlightenment through their penance and achieved complete victory over their senses and emotions. Mahavir Jayanti is also known as Janam Kalyanak.
Mahavira was born to King Siddharth and Queen Trishala in the Ikshvaku dynasty. He was born in Kundalpur on the Trayodashi of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. First, 30 years of Mahavir Swami were like a lotus in the swamp of majestic splendor and luxury. After that, for 12 years, he became absorbed in the worship and self-awakening in the dense forest. Mahavir Swami was a priest of non-violence, he believed that there should be no violence against all the Traces (one, two, three, four, and five sensed creatures) in this world.
This is an occasion when people of other religions come to know about Jainism and they have also praised its principles. Mahavira’s teachings teach us to deal with the difficulties of life, maintain positivity and not lose hope. Due to his simple teachings and practical knowledge, his devotees and disciples kept increasing.
