Minooka Mourns the Loss of High School Freshman and Hockey Star Hunter McDonald

Residents of Minooka, Illinois, are in a state of shock after the untimely demise of Hunter McDonald, a freshman at Minooka High School and a Jaguar Hockey Club member.

He was a freshman at Minooka High School, was not only a bright student academically but was also involved in numerous extracurricular activities including community work besides being an exceptional sportsman.

Hunter McDonald’s Sudden Death

Hunter was only 15 when his life was tragically ended. The cause of his death is still not clear.

Hunter was honing his hockey skills with the Jaguar Hockey Club and was a very important player of the club and it was the first to share the devastating news of his demise. In an earnest Facebook post, the club expressed their profound sadness, stating, “The Jaguar Hockey Club is devastated to hear of the passing of current Jaguar Hunter McDonald.”

Hunter McDonald was not only a simple member of the U16 team for Jaguar Hockey Club but had proved his mettle with his devotion and love for the sport. Every game he played left a permanent impression on his teammates and coaches and he was touted as a future star.

Hunter McDonald’s untimely demise has not only sent shockwaves through the community but also deeply moved people who are hearing his life story for the first time. Hunter McDonald is survived by his parents Kristy and Matt McDonald and his brothers Matty and Cam who are also finding it difficult to get over this unfathomable grief during this difficult time.

Jaguar Hockey Club has decided to organize a celebration of Hunter’s life and has invited everyone who has been connected to this illustrious member of the Jaguar Hockey Club family on Tuesday, April 9th, at Tezak Funeral Home in Joliet, Illinois, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. It will be an occasion for everyone to pay their respects and share their cherished memories of Hunter.

Also a GoFundMe page has been set up which will help the McDonald family in this difficult time to cover the funeral expenses. In a heartfelt message the GoFundMe page has asked all conscientious citizens to support, both financially and emotionally in this hour of need for the McDonald family.

It will be very difficult for the McDonald family to cope with this untimely and irreparable loss. The loss can be aptly felt in the words of the Jaguar Hockey Club, “Once a Jaguar, Always a Jaguar. RIP #81. You will be forever missed.”
