NBA Youngboy Faces 63 Charges

NBA Youngboy’s real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden. Notably, he has been charged with 63 counts of felonies.

His list of felonies includes one each for “being in possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person,” “possession of a controlled substance,” and “engaging in a pattern of unlawful activity,” along with 20 counts each of forgery, identity fraud and obtaining prescription orders under false pretences.

As per allegations put forward by the law enforcement, in September 2023, NBA Youngboy asked for medicine for a 74-year-old unidentified woman at a Hyru pharmacy.

According to NME, Youngboy introduced himself as a physician hailing from the Provo locality. He purchased the drugs “by showing an actual, valid DEA number, NPI number, and other identification of the real physician.”

However, when the pharmacist checked the phone number given by the singer, it did not match with the doctor’s clinic. Thus, the pharmacist called the doctor.

The doctor stated that he was not the one to write the prescription for an old lady of 74 years. However, the doctor added that such incidents have occurred previously as well.

The Source reported that NBA Youngboy was also involved in a fraud ring case. In this case, the suspect tried to “obtain promethazine with codeine.”

However, the Bandit singer was apprehended following a prescription bottle of promethazine was discovered at his home. The bottle was found with a fake name of the patient written on it.

Reportedly, law enforcement also discovered a gun with marijuana at his residence that NBA Youngboy claimed belonged to his spouse.
