Oppo Pad Air 2 Launched in China: Price, Features and Specifications Revealed

On Thursday, Oppo Pad Air 2 was rolled out in China along with the Oppo Reno 11 series. This tablet comes in a new affordable Android range. Oppo Pad Air 2 runs on MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. The tablet comes with a total storage of 256GB coupled with a RAM capacity of around 8GB.

The current version of Pad Air 2 comes with certain upgrades over the original Pad Air. Oppo Pad Air 2 is backed up by a battery capacity of 8,000mAh with fast charging support of 33W. It seems that the Oppo Pad Air 2 is the rebranded version of the OnePlus Pad Go. In India, the OnePlus Pad Go was released in October.

The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration of Oppo Pad Air 2 is currently available at a price tag of CNY 1,299, which is roughly Rs. 15,000. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration of Oppo Pad Air 2 is available at roughly Rs. 17,000 or CNY 1,499.

Moreover, the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant of the same phone is available at roughly Rs. 20,000 or CNY 1,699. Various color options available are Streamer Silver and Space Gray.

The OnePlus Pad Go was rolled out in the Indian market in the first week of October. It was launched at Rs. 19,999 initially for the 128GB storage variant and Wi-Fi only. Moreover, the Oppo Pad Air was launched in 2022. For the base model of 4GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration, it was priced at Rs. 16,999.

Oppo Pad Air 2 Features and Specifications

Oppo Pad Air 2 is the new tablet variant launched by the Chinese manufacturing company. However, the design, features, and specifications resemble that of the OnePlus Pad Go. The newly launched tablet possesses a peak brightness of 400 nits, a touch sampling rate of 180Hz, and a refresh rate of 90Hz. Moreover, it also flaunts an 11.4-inch 2.4K (1,720×2,408 pixels) LCD running on ColorOS 13.2 based on Android 13.

On the optics front, Oppo Pad Air 2 flaunts an 8-megapixel selfie shooter for selfies and video calls along with an 8-megapixel rear camera with the support of EIS or electronic image stabilization. 'Group Captain Prashanth Nair among four test pilots for Gaganyaan Mission'

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 27 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to announce the names of four test pilots for India’s Gaganyaan Mission during his visit to the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Kerala on Tuesday. Group Captain Prashanth B. Nair, a Sukhoi fighter pilot from Kerala, is among the test pilots undergoing training for the mission.

The four test pilots have completed training in Russia and are now familiarizing themselves with the mission at a unit of ISRO. The news of a Keralite among the test pilots has sparked curiosity, leading to a frenzy of inquiries to identify the officer.

Prime Minister Modi will review preparations for the Gaganyaan Mission during his visit to the VSSC in Thiruvananthapuram. He is scheduled to arrive at 10.45 a.m. on Tuesday and will spend an hour at the space centre.

Vijay Shekhar Sharma quits as Paytm Payments Bank Chairman, Board member (Lead)

New Delhi, Feb 26 (IANS) Leading financial services company Paytm announced that its founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma has stepped down as Non-Executive Chairman and Board Member of Paytm Payments Bank Ltd (PPBL) as the RBI ban on the bank’s operations nears. PPBL has reconstituted the Board with new members from various backgrounds such as Central Bank of India and Bank of Baroda.

The newly appointed Board members, including Central Bank of India’s former Chairman Srinivasan Sridhar, retired IAS officers Debendranath Sarangi and Rajni Sekhri Sibal, and Bank of Baroda’s former Executive Director Ashok Kumar Garg, will lead PPBL’s future business following the RBI ban on bank operations from March 15. They have joined as Independent Directors after One 97 Communications Ltd withdrew its nominee from the Board.

“The company supports PPBL’s decision to have a board with only Independent and Executive Directors by removing its nominee. Vijay Shekhar Sharma has also resigned from the Board to enable this transition,” said the company in a filing. The central bank extended the deadline for PPBL to stop accepting deposits to March 15, from the previous date of February 29.

Despite the changes, Paytm reassured its users that its mobile app, QR code, Soundbox, and Card Machine will remain operational even after March 15. Surinder Chawla, MD and CEO at Paytm Payments Bank, welcomed the new Board members, calling it a significant step forward in PPBL’s journey.
