Delhi Toofans Secure Another Victory Against Hyderabad Black Hawks

Chennai, Feb 26 (IANS) – In a thrilling match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Delhi Toofans emerged victorious over Hyderabad Black Hawks with a scoreline of 15-11, 13-15, 15-9, 15-11 in the Prime Volleyball League Season 3. Ivan Fernandez and Ashamat Ullah showcased impressive performances for Hyderabad, while Lazar Dodic and Santhosh starred for Delhi.

Hyderabad’s Ivan Fernandez impressed with left-handed spikes, while Ashamat Ullah’s attacking serves kept the pressure on Delhi. In response, Lazar Dodic’s spikes balanced the match, but Delhi faced challenges with unforced errors. Stefan Kovacevic’s blocks and Santhosh’s attacking prowess turned the tide in Delhi’s favor, with Santhosh earning the Player of the Match title.

Aponza and Ivan continued to shine for Hyderabad, but the addition of Anu James in Delhi’s attacks provided relief for Santhosh. John Joseph’s blocking prowess helped the Hawks make a comeback. Dodic’s powerful serves disrupted Hyderabad’s rhythm, while Hemanth’s consistent attacks kept Delhi on their toes. Skipper Saqlain’s strategic play proved crucial in Delhi’s control of the match.
