26 candidates submit nominations for the Jammu Lok Sabha seat

Nine candidates filed their nominations for the Jammu Lok Sabha constituency for the second phase of parliamentary elections. Candidates include Naresh Kumar Talla, Qari Zaheer Abbas Bhatti, Naresh Kumar Chib, and Congress’ substitute candidate Indra Bhalla. In total, 26 contestants have filed their candidature, with BJP’s Jugal Kishore Sharma and Congress’ Raman Bhalla already having filed.

Independent candidates C.D. Sharma, Satish Poonchi, Vicky Kumar Dogra, Perseen Singh, and Ravinder Singh also submitted their nomination papers. The nomination papers will be scrutinized on April 6 at 11 a.m. and candidates can withdraw their nomination before 3 p.m. on April 8.

The candidates filed their papers on the last day of filing nominations for the Jammu Lok Sabha constituency. The parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held on April 26. BJP and Congress are among the parties with candidates contesting for the seat. The candidates will undergo scrutiny on April 6, with the option to withdraw until April 8.
