Hamas’ 86-Year-Old Israeli Hostage Aryeh Zalmanovich’s Video Raises Concern over His Well-Being
The eyes of the entire globe are currently on the Israel and Hamas war that is going on in the Gaza Strip. The war started on October 7, 2023. As per the latest Al Jazeera report, so far over 11,470 lives have been lost in Israeli strikes on Gaza. Recently, a video has been published by the Hamas terror group which showed Aryeh Zalmanovich, an 86-year-old hostage who is held in Gaza.
The entire world is concerned about the well-being of Zalmanovich after watching the footage released by Hamas. In recent weeks, the Israeli media is strictly taking care of the clips of hostages frequently released by militant groups and is preventing them from surfacing on social media. This is being done to prevent psychological warfare and in respect for the families of the hostages.
Who is Aryeh Zalmanovich?
On October 7, 2023, from Kibbutz Nir Oz, Zalmanovich was abducted and taken hostage. Nothing was known about Zalmanovich since then. However, before the kidnapping, he informed one of his sons about the infiltration of terrorists in the Kibbutz.
Zalmanovich has been working as a farmer in the Kibbutz for decades now and is also one of the founding members of Nir Oz. Zalmanovich has two sons and five grandchildren.
