Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and party general secretary K. C. Venugopal attended the wedding reception of Andhra Pradesh unit Congress president Y.S. Sharmila Reddy’s son Raja Reddy in Hyderabad. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, AICC in-charge for Telangana Deepadas Munshi, and other Congress leaders were also present.
The reception, held in Hyderabad, was attended by Sharmila’s husband Anil Kumar and other family members. Earlier, senior Congress leaders received Kharge and Venugopal at the airport. Sharmila Reddy’s son Raja Reddy recently married his girlfriend Priya at the Jodhpur palace in Rajasthan, where Sharmila’s mother Y.S. Vijayamma was also in attendance.
However, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy did not attend the wedding or the reception. Jagan had blessed the couple at their engagement in Hyderabad last month. The event brought together key political figures in the region, showcasing a mix of social and political connections.
