YouTuber Garard Ndela And Andre Antonio Sentenced for Newcastle Airport Bomb Hoax

Famous 20-year-old prankster Garard Ndela has made national headlines for executing a distasteful act at Newcastle Airport, which was part of his video prank series. The incident began when he started shouting that he had a bomb and intended to blow up the entire Newcastle Airport.

Initially, Garard Ndela sought to incite panic in the crowd by falsely claiming he was an Islamist terrorist by saying words in Arabic before announcing he possessed an explosive device. The entire happening was filmed by his accomplice, Andre Antonio, an ex-Newcastle Eagles academy basketball player. They intended to post the footage on YouTube.

Despite their efforts, bystanders paid no attention to them, continuing with their daily activities. In the video, Ndela is heard saying,

“I’m at the airport right now with a bomb. I’m about to blow the airport up with my bomb.”

Upon hearing the case, Newcastle Crown Court Judge Amanda Rippon labeled him an “self-entitled idiot’ and criminal while rejecting his plea that he didn’t know the seriousness of his offense. Garard remarked that his sole aim was to seek attention and achieve viral fame on the internet.

“On being approached by members of the public, he repeated he had a bomb and there had been no real reaction and he said he wanted to be arrested. It’s not in doubt members of the public would be fearful, especially given the Arabic language used. “

Prosecutor Rachel Glover stated in the Newcastle Crown Court:

“The use of Arabic as a prelude to his announcement tends to instil hostility to Arabic speakers in the public.”

she further added.
