The internet is buzzing due to a mass stabbing incident that occurred in Rockford, Illinois. An incident involving an attack that occurred in the proximity of the 2300 block of Holmes Street resulted in five people getting injured, and four people losing their lives.
According to The Independent, among the four people who lost their lives, a mail carrier was also one of them.
According to the sheriff’s statements, one of the victims of the attack had stab wounds on her hands and face. Moreover, the Good Samaritan who came to rescue her also required medical attention.
When the police reached the scene, they discovered that three of the victims had lost their lives by then. One victim was also announced dead upon reaching the hospital.
TimesNow reported that, as of local time 4:15 p.m., one of the victims at the hospital is said to be in critical condition.
About The Suspect In Rockford Incident
Tom McNamara, the Mayor of Rockford regarded the incident as a “horrific act of violence.” The Independent, reported that, according to the mayor, the incident totally startled the city’s leadership.
Mayor McNamara stated-
“We can report that the suspect is in custody and the threat has been neutralized. Our main priority now that he is in detention is making sure that the members of our community who were directly affected by this violence receive the help they need to heal and move on. In an attempt to stop this from happening again, various jurisdictions are working on multiple crime sites to acquire an understanding of what happened. We’ll keep you informed going forward.”
The Police Chief of Rockford, Carla Redd, reports that they got calls concerning the incidents on numerous scenes.

Chief, Carla Redd announced that they have a suspect under their custody. Moreover, the suspect is undergoing interview and investigation for the time being. Additionally, no other suspects were there at the time.
