One person dead, 27 injured in multiple vehicle crash in Myanmar

One person was killed and 27 others were injured in a tragic multiple vehicles collision in Myanmar’s Mandalay region, as reported by rescue officials on Friday. The accident took place in Meiktila town around 4:20 p.m. local time on Thursday when a car hit a bicycle and then collided head-on with another vehicle carrying garment factory employees.

According to Kyaw Ko Ko, an official from the Myoset Thit Myat Parami Rescue Organization, “The one riding the bicycle has died. A total of 27 people from both vehicles were injured.” The deceased was identified as a female.

The incident serves as another reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for drivers to remain vigilant and follow traffic regulations to prevent such devastating accidents from occurring. The authorities are likely investigating the cause of the collision to determine if any factors contributed to the tragic event.
