CISF officer fatally shoots himself at Delhi’s Nangloi metro station

A CISF personnel, Shahre Kishore, shot himself dead with his service revolver at Delhi’s Nangloi metro station on Thursday. Kishore, enrolled in CISF since 2014, lived with his family in Narela. The incident occurred at 7.03 a.m. and police have informed his family members.

Kishore, a Constable (GD) in CISF since 2014, took his own life at Nangloi metro station. He was posted in Delhi in January, 2022. Police received information about the incident and found his body near a baggage scanning machine at the station.

“Kishore’s family members have been informed,” said a senior police official. Details about the incident are still awaited. The tragic incident has left many shocked in the CISF community. The reasons behind Kishore’s extreme step are yet unknown.

Investigations are ongoing to understand the circumstances that led to Kishore taking such a drastic step. The CISF personnel’s untimely death has raised concerns about mental health support and stress management for personnel in the force.
