Jessica Chastain says she gained more energy after turning vegan

Los Angeles, Feb 25 (IANS) Actress Jessica Chastain, known for her role in ‘Interstellar’, shared that she experiences health benefits and energy boosts by sticking to a vegan diet. She revealed that she feels sick when she consumes meat, fish, or dairy products, as reported by ‘Female First UK’.
In an interview with Radio Times magazine, Jessica explained her transition to veganism: “I was feeling very sick, and my friend suggested I try eating vegan for two weeks. The first week was tough, but the second week I felt amazing. When I tried eating fish and risotto afterwards, I felt sick again, so I decided to stick to a vegan diet.”
The actress expressed how following a vegan lifestyle has resulted in increased energy levels, allowing her to work on multiple movie projects each year. Despite usually avoiding coffee, she occasionally indulges in espresso when visiting Italy with her Italian husband.
Aside from her dietary choices, Jessica has been a longstanding supporter of veganism and sustainability, as well as an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and gender equality in the film industry. She highlighted her commitment to standing up for those who are mistreated, reflecting values instilled in her since childhood.
