President Joe Biden’s Campaign Team Seeks A Meme Expert To Woo Gen  Z Voters

The run-up to the United States Presidential race is heating up, and we are going to see a fight between two of the oldest Presidential candidates. Both aspirants are trying to woo Generation Z.

United States President Joe Biden’s election team has posted an advertisement seeking a meme expert, which is largely seen as an effort to increase his support base among younger voters.

The “Partner Manager” position envisages a candidate tasked with looking after “day-to-day operations in engaging the internet’s top content and meme pages.”

The successful candidate can earn an annual package of $65,000 to $85,000 a year, which is more than what an average digital marketer earns in the U.S.

In essence, the job requires the incumbent to liaise with digital media companies, podcasters, and meme pages spread across social media platforms.

It is not the first time that Joe Biden and his team have dabbled in meme creation, and U.S. voters still remember the “Dark Brandon” laser eyes meme from early 2022. It was also an attempt to enamor Gen Z voters and remind them that the octogenarian president is also very tech-savvy.

Switch to the present, and in February, when Seth Meyers on his Late Night show asked Biden about the Dark Brandon meme, Joe Biden replied, “I resent the hell out of it,” and put on dark aviators. Again in April, at the annual dinner of the White House Correspondents’ Association, he once again donned the sunglasses, which many see as another attempt by the oldest-ever U.S. president to woo a younger generation of voters.

Both Presidential candidates are trying to show that they are tech-savvy and open to new technology. An example is their views on Cryptocurrency. After Donald Trump’s thumbs up to cryptocurrency, many Democrats have also seemingly u-turned on crypto and now have a favorable opinion of digital currencies.

However, Donald Trump is far ahead when it comes to rolling out memes. One such meme was the 2023 mugshot, which went viral after he was processed at Fulton County Jail, Georgia, for his fourth indictment.

Trump’s team went into overdrive and started selling T-shirts, mugs, and merchandise with the image and dropped a “MugShot” non-fungible token collection in December 2023. The Trump-themed MAGA meme coin values also surged after the ex-president made positive comments on Cryptocurrency.
