Reports: Imad Wasim caught smoking in dressing room during PSL final

New Delhi, March 19 (IANS) Islamabad United’s Imad Wasim was caught smoking in the dressing room after his stellar performance in the PSL final against Multan Sultans. Wasim played a crucial role in his team’s victory, securing five wickets and leading the successful run chase.

The controversy arose when Wasim was seen smoking in the team’s dressing room during the match, as captured in a video circulating on social media. Despite this, he was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.

Islamabad United claimed their third PSL title with this win, marking their first final victory since 2018. In contrast, Multan Sultans, playing their fourth consecutive final, finished as runners-up for the third consecutive season.

The Sultans had previously won the championship in 2021 but were unable to secure the title in the subsequent editions, with Lahore Qalandars emerging as champions. Wasim’s actions have sparked a debate among fans and cricket enthusiasts, overshadowing his on-field heroics in the final.
