Cakra Khan’s claim to fame came after winning the first spot in the talent show “Indonesian Idol” competition. His debut single rose in the popularity chart in the Indonesian music circuit to dizzying heights. Thereafter the Indonesian singing sensation made his acting debut in the Indonesian television series “Cinta Elif” in 2015.

More fame was in store and on Tuesday Cakra Khan sang “Make It Rain” and “No Woman, No Cry” on the America’s Got Talent Season 18 Auditions. He impressed the judges with his faultless rendition of the two legendary songs. Cakra obtained a thumbs-up from four of the officiating judges.

Who is Cakra Khan?

Cakra Khan, aka Chandra Satria Khan, is an Indonesian singer and actor. He was born on February 27, 1992, in Jakarta, Indonesia. He had a keen passion for singing which he started at a very young age and performed in numerous local competitions. However, the turning point in his career came when he stood first in the fifth season of “Indonesian Idol.”

Success soon followed and his debut single “Setelah Kau Tiada,” became one of the biggest hits in Indonesian music history. After the stupendous success of his debut album, he released his self-titled debut album in 2013, which featured several successful singles.

Through the course of his career, the singer released numerous albums and singles which confirmed his place in the music arena as a versatile singer with his very unique style of singing. His albums featured songs of different genres like pop, R&B, and traditional Indonesian music. He has a wide and powerful vocal range and his performance which was earthly and seemed right from the heart enamored the Indonesian audiences.
