Working with T-Pain was a ‘dream come true’ for Meghan Trainor
Los Angeles, March 20 (IANS) Meghan Trainor and T-Pain have released a new collaboration, ‘Been Like This’, for the singer’s upcoming sixth album. Trainor expressed her excitement, calling it a “dream come true” to work with the rapper. In a full-page newspaper advertisement, she thanked T-Pain for the opportunity.
The ‘All About The Bass’ singer shared how the collaboration with T-Pain came about. Initially, Trainor created the song on her own before sending it to T-Pain. After some delay, he finally heard the track and agreed to do a verse, surprising Trainor on her 30th birthday with the completed version.
Trainor, a long-time fan of T-Pain, felt grateful for the opportunity to work with her “favourite artist.” She described the collaboration as a culmination of her admiration for the rapper over the past decade. After connecting on social media and exchanging texts for a year, the duo finally discussed working together on a song.
In a gesture of appreciation, Trainor took out a full-page advertisement in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution to thank T-Pain for his contribution to the music industry and for being a humble hero. During an interview, she teased an upcoming music video for ‘Been Like This’, praising T-Pain’s dancing skills and dedication during the shoot.
Trainor expressed her gratitude towards T-Pain, stating, “He truly made my dreams come true.” The singer highlighted T-Pain’s versatility as an artist, showcasing not only his singing and songwriting abilities but also his exceptional dancing skills. The music video for ‘Been Like This’ featuring T-Pain is set to be released soon.
