The Noida flower show has finally made its way back to the Ramlila Ground, Noida Stadium, Sector-21 yesterday after a 2-year long gap due to the pandemic. The event will be a 3-day show, a collaboration between the Floriculture Society of Noida and the Noida authority. The audience will witness a variety of flowers this year. Every year, the authority comes up with a special theme to celebrate the flower show with full enthusiasm. According to Vandana Tripathi, the officer on special duty (OSD), the Noida authority stated that this year’s theme is- Marigold.

“Marigold exhibits will be set up at the entrance and different varieties of marigolds will also be on display at the show. Apart from that, a landscaping exhibit with cut flowers and plants will be the centre of attraction for the show. The floriculture society has also set up an art exhibit made from pulses,” said the officer. She further added that the decorations and the arrangement will be organised with the assistance of famous environmentalists just to make all the information about the flowers available and educational for the students.
“We are expecting a huge footfall this year as nature enthusiasts and garden aficionados have been waiting for the show to return after a gap of two years. As organisers, we have also sent out invites to schools, colleges, residents’ groups, corporates, and others in order to increase more and more participation,” said Tripathi.
The show will also consist of gardening-related competitions, composting and potting demonstrations, talks on millets and informational seminars regarding the flowers.“Street plays on social issues will also be organised at the arena in order to educate the visitors,” said Manish Kumar, from floriculture department of Noida authority.
