BJP demands Naseer Hussain’s resignation amid Pro-Pakistan slogan controversy and arrest of 3 accused

In a major development, Karnataka police arrested three individuals for allegedly raising pro-Pakistan slogans in the Assembly premises in support of Congress leader Syed Naseer Hussain. The BJP demanded Naseer Hussain’s resignation, with leader R. Ashoka claiming 10-12 persons raised the slogans, calling them terrorists and urging immediate action.

Ashoka criticized the Congress for initially denying the incident, stating that the government’s support of the offenders should warrant dismissal. He questioned why the FSL report proving the charges was not made public, emphasizing the need for sedition charges under IPC Section 124A and involving Naseer Hussain in the case.

The BJP sees the case as a test of Congress’ patriotism and loyalty, with Ashoka highlighting the national scrutiny on the government’s actions. Karnataka BJP chief B.Y. Vijayendra stressed the need for a thorough investigation into the accused individuals’ backgrounds and motives behind the slogans, emphasizing the delayed arrests made eight days after the incident.

The arrested individuals were identified as Iltaz from Delhi, Munnavar from Bengaluru, and Mohammad Nashipudi from Haveri district. The police stated that the arrests were based on the FSL report, circumstantial evidence, statements of the accused, and evidence gathered during the investigation. The case has sparked widespread attention and scrutiny, with the BJP closely monitoring the government’s response.
