KTR booked for alleging Telangana CM sent Rs 2,500 crore to high command

Hyderabad, March 30 – Telangana police have registered a case against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao for alleging that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy sent Rs 2,500 crore to the Congress high command for Lok Sabha elections. A zero FIR was registered at Hanamkonda Police Station and transferred to Banjara Hills Police Station in Hyderabad after a complaint by a Congress leader, Srinivas Rao.

Rama Rao, popularly known as KTR, faces charges under Indian Penal Code sections 504 and 505 for intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace and statements conducing to public mischief. At a BRS meeting, he claimed that Revanth Reddy had extorted money from business people in the state and sent it to Delhi for upcoming polls. KTR alleged that Revanth Reddy stopped issuing permissions for buildings and layouts, pressuring stakeholders for funds under the threat of denial of approvals.

The complaint against KTR was lodged by a Congress leader with Hanamkonda Police Station, leading to the registration of the FIR. The case has brought tension between the political parties in the state, with accusations and counter-accusations being thrown around. It remains to be seen how the legal process will unfold and what implications it will have on the political landscape in Telangana.

The allegations made by K. T. Rama Rao have stirred up a controversy in the state’s political circles, with both BRS and Congress leaders engaging in a war of words. The case will be closely watched by observers and the public as it unfolds, with implications for the upcoming elections and the reputations of the involved parties at stake. The investigation will shed more light on the accusations and counter-accusations, potentially influencing the political environment in Telangana in the run-up to the polls.
