Congress launches ‘Home to Home Guarantee’ campaign ahead of Lok Sabha polls

New Delhi, April 3 (IANS) Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge kicked off a door-to-door campaign in the capital to connect with households nationwide, highlighting the party’s ‘5 Nyay and 25 guarantees’. The campaign was launched in Kaithwada, Northeast Delhi LS constituency, with distribution of pamphlets.

The recent ‘Save Democracy’ rally by the INDIA bloc saw Kharge discuss the party’s 5 ‘Nyay’ guarantees from Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. As part of the initiative, 8 crore families will receive ‘guarantee cards’ in 14 different languages, outlining Congress’ promises and pledges to the people.

The list of 25 guarantees by the Congress party is divided into 5 Nyay schemes. Under Yuva Nyay, promises include a ‘first job guarantee’ for youth, Rs 30 lakh new government jobs, and improved social security for gig workers. Emancipation for women entails the Mahalakshmi yojana and better pay for ASHA and Anganwadi workers.

In the realm of agriculture, Kisan Nyay ensures legal MSP as per the Swaminathan Commission report and swift insurance payment in case of crop loss. The party also commits to a Rs 400/day minimum wage under MNREGA and accident insurance for unorganized sector workers. A ‘ghar-ghar guarantee’ program aims to secure SC/ST/OBC reservations through a constitutional amendment.

The Congress’ campaign focuses on bridging the gap between the party and the masses, translating promises into tangible actions. The ‘5 Nyay and 25 guarantees’ serve as a roadmap for the party’s vision of inclusive growth and empowerment for all sections of society.
