EC’s flying squad seizes Rs 4 crore from three individuals at Tamil Nadu’s Tambaram Railway station

The Election Commission’s flying squad seized Rs 4 crore from three individuals during a raid at Tambaram railway station on Saturday night. The cash was found in the air-conditioned coach of Nellai Express bound for Tirunelveli, and the suspects were taken into custody with the help of Tambaram Railway Police.

The raid conducted by the Election Commission’s flying squad at Tambaram railway station on Saturday night led to the seizure of Rs 4 crore from the air-conditioned coach of Nellai Express bound for Tirunelveli. Three individuals were detained in connection with the cash, and Tambaram Railway Police assisted in the operation.

According to the Police, the money, which was found in six bags, was traced back to a hotel in the state capital based on the information provided by one of the detainees. The seized amount was deposited into the government treasury on Sunday morning following the investigation and interrogation of the suspects.

The successful operation conducted by the Election Commission’s flying squad and Tambaram Railway Police resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of cash, highlighting the importance of enforcing strict regulations during the electoral process. The individuals involved in the incident were apprehended and the seized money was handed over to the government treasury for further investigation.
