TikTok Poll, ‘Man or Bear’ Gains Traction On Social Media

There was a poll posted, primarily asking if someone got lost in the middle of the woods and encountered a bear or a man, who would they choose to face? Unsurprisingly, a majority of the women chose a bear.

Statistics show that 6 out of 7 women chose a bear. They later stated their reasons, saying that if something ever were to happen, no one would ask if they led the bear on or gave it pamphlets on attack prevention tips.

However, some men would rather face a man in the woods than the bear. People also took the question to their partners and kids for their input. Meredith Steele asked her husband the same question and asked who her husband would choose if their daughter ever got lost in the woods.

Her husband swiftly replied that both scenarios were unsafe, but he leaned towards the bear rather than the man. This poll and the answers resulted in debates and lots of controversy over women’s safety around people.

One commenter weighed their reason for choosing the bear, saying, “If I die by a bear, I’ve fed its survival instincts; if I die by a man, I’ve likely only fed his fantasies.” The majority of the women chose the bear, while men chose the man.

Priorities are different; people are different, and their choices are different, hence their feeling of safety is also different around living creatures when it comes to safety.

‘Gender season’ is something that has currently sparked some debate on social media, and people don’t seem to be too happy after learning about it. So, gender season is basically how people can feel during a season and what gender they associate themselves with.

She says that a season can affect how a person feels about their gender. Whitney says that during summer when she has her hair up, she feels more like a man.

But during winter, when her hair is down, she wears dresses and skirts, she feels feminine and that makes her feel like a girl.

Gender season is not something that can shift, according to Dee, it’s how the season influences your mood and the gender you identify yourself with.

This has raised controversies online.

People are disagreeing and they feel this whole gender-neutral and gender identity debate has gone too far.

Gender and sexuality should be based on opinions and how a person identifies; there are obvious chances when anyone else cannot pass any comment on how someone should identify themselves because of their opinion.

The internet is currently divided following a viral video that showed remarks by students from Galgotias University about Sam Pitroda, the Chair of the Indian Overseas Congress, regarding the ‘inheritance tax’.

As per Business Standard, this incident that has filled the entire nation with laughter took place in Greater Noida. Purposedly, the students of Galgotias University held a protest in Delhi.

When an AajTak reporter reached the protest site, he questioned the students engaged in the protests. The reporter asked the students the motive behind their protest and the message their placards conveyed. 

Students seemed clueless about the questions asked. While responses from other students were even funny and laughable. 

Thus, the video showcasing students’ response has gone viral all over the social media platforms. The video has also garnered funny reactions from netizens online. 

Meme Fest All Over the Internet 

When the students were questioned, their relies on were just a comedy of errors.

One student stated that his motive behind the protest was his desire for a developed India. However, he lacked the basic specifics. 

Another student acknowledged that he was clueless regarding the Congress manifesto. Several protestors even struggled to read what was printed on their placards. 

When a student was asked to read the slogan written on the placard, the student read ‘urban naxal’ as ‘urban maxwell.’

It seemed that the protest was made to touch a range of issues in the nation, such as women’s empowerment, urban naxalism, NaMo’s stand on mangalsutra and wealth redistribution, inheritance tax and many more. However, clarity remains elusive. 

Videos circulating on social media garnered mixed reactions. Some laughed while others their criticism and showed disappointment at the students’ lack of awareness.
