Noida NGO turns savior for stray dogs in cold
Providing relief to all the stray dogs from the chilling cold waves and winter, a Noida-based NGO has been giving free dog coats as well as beds made of sacks. It will be followed in the next phase with a drive conducted on 31st December at their office in Sector-54, House of Stray Animals (HSA), Noida.

The first phase was done on December 19th, 21st and 25th. Those who are willing to send coats or other stuff can send them by calling on their registered number +91-9818048398 along with your name and the number of items. Up until now, more than 140 people have called the NGO and provided free beds and coats over 1,800 coats have been ordered so far, the founder of HSA, Sanjay Mohapatra told PTI.
The anti-rabies vaccine will also be a part of the drive, out of which deworming medicines and vaccine shots will be free of cost.
“We received a good response from people when we began the drive on December 25. Around 897 dog coats were distributed to 75 people and more than 50 animals were also vaccinated on the same day,” he said.
Mohapatra also stated that a large number of youths have shown an interest during the first drive, where stray dogs were also vaccinated as well as provided with beds and a coat. Lately, a lot of people have shown love and kindness towards stray animals. Additionally, many residents like to bring food and coat to their colony dogs.
With the recent dog attacks, the Noida authority has issued a policy regarding the latest dog rules including sterilization, registration, feeding points as well as vaccination. A penalty was also imposed if these rules are not followed. Any AOA, RWA or other organization can many any changes regarding the latest policy.
