Shivya Pathania is most attracted to the grandeur and righteousness of mythological roles

New Delhi, April 12 (IANS) Actress Shivya Pathania is set to play the titular character in the upcoming show ‘Laxmi Narayan’, expressing her attraction towards the grandeur and moral values of mythological shows. Having previously portrayed Sita in ‘Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush’ and Devi Parvati in ‘Baal Shiv-Mahadev Ki Andekhi Gatha’, Shivya is ready to take on the role of ‘Laxmi’ in the new series.

Speaking to IANS, Shivya shared her fascination with mythological roles, stating, “The grandeur, the righteousness, the standard, the way the story moves, and the moral value that these shows provide to their audience is what attracts me the most. It’s deep rooted shows, our history, and our culture. To know it and to let the audience experience the same is itself a divine experience.”

Having also played Laxmi in ‘Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gatha’, Shivya highlighted the differences in the portrayal of the character in both shows. She stated, “In ‘Vikram Betaal’ it was a one-story with a moral, so it was not a full-fledged show on how Lakshmi Narayan came into existence and pursued their role as deities and was not about their untold love story.”

Shivya praised the new show ‘Laxmi Narayan’ by Swastik Productions, emphasizing the unexplored love story of the deities. She mentioned the joy of working with Siddharth Kumar Tewary and his expertise, considering it a blessing to be part of the production. The actress found the vision and story of Devi Laxmi in the show to be intriguing and different from her previous knowledge of the deities, which attracted her to the role.

Despite the fast-paced preparations for the show, Shivya expressed her commitment to embodying the character of Laxmi as per the story and scriptures provided on set. The eagerly anticipated series will soon premiere on Colors, promising an untold love story and a unique portrayal of the revered deities.
