Prime Video Reveals 69-Title Slate for the Rest of 2024 in a Grand Event Hosted by Karan Johar

Mumbai, March 19 (IANS) – Prime Video recently unveiled an exciting lineup of 69 titles including returning and new series, original and licensed films for the rest of 2024. The much-anticipated Indian instalment of the Russo brothers’ ‘Citadel’ universe, ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, along with other original Indian web series were announced at the event hosted by Karan Johar.

The slate includes Siddharth Roy Kapur and Nagraj Manjule’s ‘Matka King’, ‘Mirzapur 3’, ‘Paatal Lok’, ‘Panchayat’, and ‘Bandish Bandits 2’, among others. The newcomers list features fascinating titles like ‘Daring Partners’, ‘Follow Karlo Yaar’, and ‘In Transit’ exploring the lives of trans and non-binary individuals. Amazon’s original films in Hindi include ‘Subedar’, ‘The Mehta Boys’, ‘Supermen of Malegaon’, and ‘Chhorii 2’.

The streamer, competing with Netflix’s original programming, aims to acquire new subscribers globally. Mike Hopkins, Head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, emphasized India’s importance: “India is a key geographic area for us.”

This extensive slate promises engaging content for viewers, with a mix of returning favorites and exciting new shows and films lined up throughout the year.
