Bhayani has sparked an uproar on the internet after making offensive comments about the Hindu deity, Goddess Sita.
Bhayani compared Goddess Sita to Nita Ambani as her son Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding festivities are all around the web.
Nita is the wife of Indian industrialist and businessman Mukesh Ambani.
Viral Bhayani’s Offensive Instagram Story Spark Baclash
The now-deleted story of Viral Bhayani on Instagram states-
“Nowadays only 2 husbands matter in India, Sita’s & Nita’s.”
Instantly the post went viral causing huge backlash from the netizens.
The story was posted after Anant Ambani’s high-profile pre-wedding festivities were attended by global leaders like Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Gautam Adani, and Ivanka Trump to name a few.
It has been speculated that the comment is connected to Ram Mandir’s inauguration.
As the outrage became intense, Bhayani issued an apology on social media saying-
“I apologize for this story, but I have no intentions to hurt any religious sentiments.”
Despite issuing an apology, it seems like netizens are not happy with the response as the comments have hurt the religious sentiments of Hindu community, according to some netizens.
Meanwhile, it has sparked a debate on Twitter where netizens are criticizing the paparazzi culture.
One of the users on X commented-
“It has become fashion, first post the stories about Hindu bhagwan and then apologize.”
While another said-
“You did…and I do think it was intentional.”
This is not the first time, Viral Bhayani has received a backlash from the public.
Earlier he made offensive comments made related to Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor-Aaliya Bhatt’s wedding as well.
Despite sparking criticism in the media, Bhayani continues to share updates and photos from Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities that took place in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
It was a three-day extravagant festivities happened from March 1 to March 3, 2024.
The wedding is scheduled for 12 July 2024.
