SHOCKING- Calla Johnson popularly known as "Traveling Mermaid" on TikTok passes away at the age of 34

Famous TikToker Calla Johnson, best known for her flatbed truck videos, sadly died on March 15, 2024, at the age of 34 in Coldspring, Texas. Her sister confirmed the news of her departure in a Facebook post.

Right now, even the family is not aware of the cause of her death. Informing the same in the Facebook post, her sister wrote:

“We know nothing at the moment. Please be patient as we have to be. Please stop asking. It is so heartbreaking what happened and if I had answers I would share. Thank you all for understanding. Rest in sweet Peace my beautiful Calla Johnson.”

Her family has set up a GoFundMe page to cover her funeral expenses. According to Sportskeeda, the fundraiser has raised around $5,000, with a target goal of $15,000.

The GoFundMe page states:

“Hello everyone. My name is Victoria Johnson. We tragically lost our beautiful angel Calla Johnson unexpectedly on March 15th. If you could be so kind as to donate to help us with funeral costs and give her the celebration of life she deserves we would greatly appreciate it.”

Calla Johnson garnered a massive fanbase by making humorous videos showing her on duty in her blue-collar trucker job while picking up a load of plywood or steel. She often used to share scenic views from her driver’s seat, traveling from coast to coast while delivering cargo.

Last year, she celebrated hitting 100,000 miles on her tractor, stating:

“So, I just got done driving for the day, but I hit a huge accomplishment today, let me show you,” Johnson says as she shifts the camera to her Freightliner’s dashboard. I hit 100,000 miles.”

Social media was flooded with videos that have become viral, showing an assassination attempt on Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The news, which spread like wildfire on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), claimed that the heavily guarded Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s motorcade was bombed in Riyadh.

False Video Claiming Assassination Attempt on Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Viral

Videos pertaining to the alleged bomb attack soon began circulating on the microblogging platform.

The videos further stated that the assassination attempt led to a massive deployment of security forces in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

However, there was no confirmation of the alleged assassination attempt on the Saudi Crown Prince.

The news has been described as totally baseless by BBC scribe Shayan Sardarizadeh, who wrote on X,

“A totally baseless claim about an assassination attempt on Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is going viral on X after being shared by fake OSINT accounts and well-known misinformation spreaders seeking engagement. There’s zero evidence for the claim.”

Furthermore, BRICS News also stated that the reports of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s assassination were false.

“Reports of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman surviving an assassination attempt are false. MBS was not the target of an assassination attempt; this is fake news.”

The alleged fake video has been widely shared by social media users since Tuesday, May 7, claiming that there has been an assassination attempt on Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Saudi Arabia‘s capital, Riyadh.

The report said that the heavily armed security entourage of the Saudi Prince came under attack.

The report also said that the car bomb attack resulted in significant casualties and injuries, though the Saudi Crown Prince escaped unhurt. The video, which was widely circulated on social media, showed a burning car and the presence of police forces.

The caption of the post read:

“Arab sources are reporting an assassination attempt against Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.”

“No confirmation for now. The video purports to show some sort of security incident in Riyadh,”

it added.

The post was first uploaded by a user named Winter Inter on X.

However, prominent media houses have tried to confirm the veracity of the video and it was revealed that the video was actually from a fire incident in Riyadh that the Civil Defense dealt with on March 16, 2024.

There is even a post from the General Directorate of Civil Defense on X which read,

“Riyadh Civil Defense extinguishes a fire in two vehicles following a traffic accident, and there were no injuries.”

Several journalists have also taken to X to debunk the video and have even expressed their anger at the spread of such fake news.

Bank of America (BAC. N) announced on Monday that an investment banker at the organization met his/her ultimate demise. 

While the netizens are searching and speculating about the reason behind a Bank of America employee’s death, it is unveiled that the deceased passed away of natural causes, reported Reuters.

The details were confirmed by the Chief Medical Examiner of the New York Office when he was asked about decoding the possible reasons for the employees’ deaths. An email from the New York Office confirmed this.

The organization announced that the person “died of acute coronary artery thrombus.” The alleged disease “causes the formation of a blood clot inside a blood vessel of the heart.”

In the wake of this, the employer organization, Bank of America, announced that it would extend support to the deceased’s family. It further added, “our focus is on doing whatever we can to support the family and our team, who are devastated.”

Identity of the Individual 

Until now, Bank of America hasn’t disclosed the individual’s identity, age or name.

Even the deceased’s relatives have not shared the identity of the person, while they continue to grieve about his/her death.

The deceased employee was an important part of the FIG or financial institutions group. The work of FIG is to provide advices to bank clients regarding deals. 

A source familiar with the deceased employee of Bank of America revealed that the employee was to also be “a former member of the U.S. Green Beret special forces.”

As per another person associated with this matter, the Bank of America employee met his/her ultimate demise on Thursday. 

According to Nairametrics, this tragic death incident follows certain complaints by junior banking colleagues. The complaints comprise working hours of employees being more than 100 hours a week during 2020 and beyond.

New-age cheating has currently dominated the of media headlines and social media platforms.

In this, students who sat for Class XII board exams for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) reportedly learned the question in on a Mathematics paper.

Later, they shared the questions online on social media. Moreover, they assisted students in different time zones who were yet to sit for the exam.

According to TOI, on May 1 and 2, the Math exam for two hours was conducted. However, reportedly on May 3, paper leaked news was discovered. 

These annual exams are conducted by IB in three time zones. 

IB has acknowledged the question leak situation due to difference in time zones. However, the country of origin of the leak hasn’t been made public yet.

Reportedly, principals in Mumbai alleged that the part was leaked from Turkey. 

Due to the time zone difference, the paper leak is more likely to benefit students in the Americas, Europe, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Moreover, it is less likely to benefit Indian students. 

The highlights of the report added that this is probably the first instance of a paper leak. The Switzerland-based board witnessed this scenario for the first time in its 55-year history, adds FirstPost.

On Sunday, IB stated that there was no concrete evidence of the spread of the “time zone cheating.” However, they did discover a number of students who were involved in the practice. 

SCMP reported that “the materials were downloaded more than 45,000 times.”
