With the latest turn of events, a high school teacher Brandyn Hargrove from Brazoswood High School has been legally charged with a sexual assault case in 2007. The news of her case has sent shockwaves across the country.
According to news reports, her court documents state that she was indicted on two counts of indecency with a child by exposure, four counts of indecency with a child by contact and six counts of sexual assault of a child.

According to multiple news reports, her victim was a former student at the school. The incident happened in 2007. James Fitch, Clute Police Chief stated that the student was 15 years old while Hargrove must have been 27 at that time.
Plus, the victim said that their encounters occurred on and off campus during his two-year time in school. James Fitch said that the victim now 30 years old pressed charges against the teacher in September 2023.
As for Brandyn Hargrove, she originally belonged to Lake Jackson and joined Brazoswood High School as an English teacher with Brazosport ISD in 2022 August. The case has caused an uproar in the country.

Brazosport ISD released an official statement – “We have been made aware that a Brazoswood High School teacher, Brandyn Hargrove, has been indicted and charged with multiple counts of sexual misconduct of a minor from 2007. Upon notification of the investigation initiated by an outside agency on September 29, 2023, Brazosport ISD took immediate action and placed the employee on administrative leave to ensure that the employee did not have contact with students. As a result of these charges, the district has initiated employment-related actions to separate her employment.
